ask that sam strano guy about ride comfort and handling, i'm sure there's something in between.
I was quite suprised at how harsh the ride became after suspension, even with the 16's on. Handles like a **** but damn. Then came the 17's which didn't help a bit.
I've got a similar setup more race springs on my vw and its even worse rattle your head, but a friend had some neuspeed soft-sport springs (non lowering, maybe progressive rate) and on his vw with the same struts the car drives like a dream, handles decent, and i'd trade in a minute. I do live in the city where you got the metal plates at any given day about 5 to hit or drive around, and beat up streets. So its a fact of life. On the freeway the suspension is nice and toight, and reasonable.
I think its give and take unless you can afford some coilover suspension with adjustable dampening, but i was too poor for that.
just my opinion ymmv.
