napa rotors rusting

Default napa rotors rusting

not the actual part that the brake pad touches, but the part in front that meets with the wheel. it's pretty napy (haha, pun intended ) looking. anyone have any recommendations for ridding the rotor of the rust? wow, there were many r's in that last sentence...

I took mine off after they rusted in a couple weeks, sanded down the hub and painted it. Blocked off the disc with tape. Worked great, did it a couple months ago.

what if i just sand the rust off, will they rust back again?

thought it might have been a surface rust problem with the first layer of metal. in other words, i thought scruffing it up might solve the rustation. don't think that's a word though.
