Default What setup would you suggest? (lowering)

I've been doing a lot of searches about lowering my car. But my case might be different than most. I have an 01 z28. Its my daily driver. The car will never see a track, drag or autocross. Its almost all highway driving for me. I was curious what spring/shock combo to use. Im worried about it riding like a tank, as the roads here suck. Im not looking to slam it... but something comparable to a MAC spring drop. Would i be happy just cutting stock springs and leaving stock shocks? At the moment I have access to some Bilstiens that are free! but have heard bad things about ride quality with them. Would the cut stock spring/bilstein be better than stock shocks? Just exploring ride quality options. Thanks for your time!

Bilstiens are better than Decarbons so if you can, snag the freebies Now if you're not going to "slam" your car then having Bilstiens will work out fine.
