Default Installing SLP bolt on SFC?

How difficult are they to install? Do they just bolt on with existing bolts or do you have to drill? I was quoted $70 to put them on, is it worth it or will it be easy to do?

Save 70.00 and do it yourself, can be done with basic hand tools. They bolt up to to present locations with present hardware. It is best to have the weight on the wheels when tightened up.

If you had a lift that lifted the car from the chassis and not the wheels, how do you put a load on the car to either bolt them down or weld them??

I used Ramps and you don't need to do any welding they stayed tight the year I had them. Its pretty easy, if you like working on your car go for it. If you don't like getting dirty and skinning your knuckles up then $70 is a pretty good price for the install. Figure about and hour of labor...

That lift is not what you want to use. The chassis needs to be loaded for the install to be correct....Use a lift that the car drives up on to keep the chassis loaded. They are not hard to find..

Okay, I was wondering because my buddy has a lift but not the one that you drive up on one...

Do you actually need to lift the car up like that, or can you just let it sit on the tires like it is sitting on a garage floor, or street? my car is at stock height and I plan on installing the slp bolt on sfc's and would like to know if I could just do it while it is sitting level on the garage floor or the street? any input would be helpful, thanks. sorry to hi-jack this thread, but I am in the same boat. thanks.

I'd just put it on ramps, they aren't that expensive and if you work on your car alot 4 of them can come in handy, sometime I put the ones under the front just in case it falls. If your small enough to fit under the car you could probably do it but it would probably take twice as long. Plus there is a shield you have to modify on the drivers side....

I bought one set at Walmart for $30 and another one on sale for $15. I have also seen them at AdvanceAuto. The price will be higher there.
