Arrow Recommend a caster setting, please.

Hi all,

I had the car aligned about 4K miles ago. 2000 WS6.

Caster was-
-Front left-5.2*
-Front right-4.4*

What was nice about that, was that the car did not pull on roads with more of slant to them, and my big tail kept me from noticing any sort of pull to the right. I know the cross caster was bad, and it did need to be fixed.

Here is what it is now-
-Front left- 4.9*
-Front right-4.9*

The guy setting it did good, but I hate the feel of the car at speed, and daily driving, it has a dancy, darty feeling.

I am going to get it redone, but I wanted to see if anyone could recommend a setting. Something that will give the stabilty of high speeds. I really could care less about how hard it is too turn the wheel. What do you guys run at the autoX events? Figure there are lots of track guys on here, so maybe one of them had some input.

Thanks for looking.

Try having the caster set around 5.75-6.00 both sides. It makes the car much more stable at speed.

I think I will go with 5.2. That sounds about what I am looking for. 5.7-6.0 is probably more than what I want.

Thanks for the help .

I had my caster set close to 6 at one time, and I thought it was too darty. I prefer it somewhere between 4.5 and 5.0. It's not too bad even with almost -2* of camber.
