Default tubular k-member/pinto manual rack

I'm wanting to get a tubular k-member and a manual rack. BMR sells a k-member with pinto manual rack mounts. I guess the only place to get a pinto manual rack is like jegs or summit. How hard is it to make a pinto manual rack work with our cars? There's got to be a difference in width of the cars, how do you adjust that. Jegs or summit don't sell one to fit our cars, so what do I do. There has to be a reason BMR sells a k-member to fit one. Trying to get off cheap. I know madman makes one, but isn't it like $600+??? And would like to get a lower ratio to make steering alittle easier. I just have the power steering pump off and the lines run back into each other. Pretty tough at times. Thanks for any help.

Chris
