It really depend's on your driving style and are you going to beat the crap out of your car on the track every weekend. I've had bolt on SLP's for 3 years which the car isn't a daily driver but when it get's driven it's driven pretty hard in the twisties and straight line and have never had and bolt's come loose or had the subframes move around on me. If I were to road race or auto X all the time I would weld them in and weld a cage in to but for street fun there is no need for me to weld them in. If you weld some in make sure you find someone who know's what they are doing.

Has anyone with the weld in ones encountered rust after a few years? I realize that you paint where the welding is done. It just seems that rust always starts around the points where a weld is made.

Did you have to pull the carpet up inside when you did the welding?

Does anyone have any pics of a weld in one after a few years of street use?

Thanks
