I can't say they are better then a Koni because I have never ran Koni's, but I do like the QA1 set up. Hope that helps

Sorry, they can't be compared. Koni is a street/autox shock, and Hal/QA1 is a drag shock. Pick which one fits you and your driving style better.
I am going with Koni's because I daily drive my car, and they still offer adjustability which is nice. If I want a little weight transfer, I'd rather disconnect the front sway bar than drive around on drag shocks all the time. JMO

Exacly.
If you you car is pretty much a street/strip only car I can tell you that the HAL/QA1s are pretty nice and work really well. I like the "R" Series in the front with a fixed compresion, that way you can leave the rebound soft and the car won't bounce all over the place. Daily driving on drag shocks really isn't that bad if you adjust them for the street. You can reach the adjustment ***** with the car on the ground so it's a quick adjustment.

couldn't agree more or put it better myself. another vote for QA1's if you like the 1/4 mile.

I went with Koni DAs because I care more about handling that 1/4 mile times. My car spends 98% of it's time on the street and I was afraid that the QA1s couldn't handle my choice of stiff springs.

installed the koni sa's today,i dont know if it was the pro kit+hal combination but the ride wasnt all that great.the new combo pro kit+koni's=good ride.the hals made the car sit lower in the rear so i compensated by lowering the front.the stance looked awesome but scraped and rode rough, the koni's raised the car up about a 1/2 inch and made the car ride better.

Ok the price difference is sort of big. I can get koni s/a's for $750 but the qa1 s/a's are $100 cheaper. I'm more of an auto x person but I do like the 1/4 mile as well. Even with the 315 lb coil over helper springs(recommended for stiffer cornering) the qa1's are cheaper. But are they what i really want for superior handling in corners? The qa1'a have 12 settings and I believe the koni s/a only have 4 or 6. Tough choice here what ever shock I buy I'm stuck with.

The above site is for road racers and autoxr's, I learned a lot on that site, the ideal shock for superior cornering ability are Koni's, Koni's, Koni's. You can ask questions over there, you will be educated big time...
