Default Tell me about using Konis with a lowered perch to lower the car

Suspension newbie here. Okay, so I keep hearing about people using some sort of Koni shock with a lower perch and that will lower the car a tad even with the stock springs. Is this correct, and if so, what kind of Konis are these and what other parts are needed to do this? Will it lower the front and the rear? Does it ride and handle better then stock using these with the stock springs? Thanks in advance.

They are Koni Single Adjustable shocks. Ride and handling will be improved. They will only lower the front, but removing the isolator in the rear will lower the rear approx. 1/2" or so.

Sounds good to me. Where can you buy them, and what shock should be used in the rear? Same thing?

One added benefit - you don't get the "eibach sag" in the rear if you lower this way. And your nose (or beak if you have a Firebird) can still clear most parking lot curbs.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am going to that link but for some reason the product search is turning up blank when I search for Koni? Anyhow, to those of you that have done this method what did everything cost in total? The SA shocks are about $600 new, right? Also, do you need a panhard rod or relocation brackets when lowering using this method? Thanks.

You don't need anything else when lowering with just the Koni's.

The price for a set of new SAs is closer to $750 though. When youg got to Stranoparts website look over to the right where the white camaro is and there is a link to some of the ls1 products that Sam carrys.
