Problem after removing calipers
When I put he calipers back on, I put them on the wrong tires. I had the bleed nozzle facing DOWN which means all the air was in top of the calipers and not draining.
So yeah i'm out $70 because I put them on backwards.
Live and learn I guess

reuse the 2 existing crush seals, buy yourself 2 1" 3/8" bolts and nuts. If it costs you $.50, I'd be surprised.
It might not completely seal the system, but it will slow down the hemorraghing to an acceptable rate. It should give you a couple hours to prep and paint your calipers.
Might I suggest you do the majority of the cleaning with them still on the car.
Or, go to O'Reilly's and you can buy fresh, clean reman calipers for $34 ...
