So yeah i'm out $70 because I put them on backwards.

Live and learn I guess
I was about to ask if the bleeder was on top or bottom. I know someone that did that.

Would you crimp the fuel line closed to change a fuel filter?

reuse the 2 existing crush seals, buy yourself 2 1" 3/8" bolts and nuts. If it costs you $.50, I'd be surprised.

It might not completely seal the system, but it will slow down the hemorraghing to an acceptable rate. It should give you a couple hours to prep and paint your calipers.

Might I suggest you do the majority of the cleaning with them still on the car.

Or, go to O'Reilly's and you can buy fresh, clean reman calipers for $34 ...

Thanks for the input mitchntx. Unfortunately it's raining up in the northeast. I will see if I can use a buddies garage or something to do the brake work.

Please don't break the lines just to paint them, they can be done on the car. If it is raining, the paint will not want to dry properly anyway due to the high humidity.

Did the rotors/pads and an oil change last night. I am going to wait for a nice hot day to paint the calipers. It was extremely humid here. Thanks
