Can drilled disks be turned down?

Default Can drilled disks be turned down?

I have some warped EBC and Powerstop front disks, can they be turned down at a break shop?

yes but you have to go theough and chamfer all the holes after you cut

Would chamfering really make a difference? You can't chamfer the inside holes, so why bother with the outside?

Well, I wonder if you would have to with EBC and power stop, because they aren't really cross drilled, they are dimpled and slotted. The holes don't do completely through.

Your not cutting the inside of the rotor. We do it at work per the manufacturer if we have to cut rotors, we dont see it too foten though only on hard driven trackcars. My own opinon would be thats its to recdcue the chese grater effect on the pads and to recuce noise. BUt what do I know
