Is this Setup good cause its not working!!!! HELP Hey guys I have upgraded my suspension to Sprint Lowering Springs, Bilstein HD Shocks, LMP Strut Tower Bar, UMI Panhard Bar, and UMI Control Arms. Now the problem is that I am getting a large bang every time I go over a bump. My dad was thinking it was the springs. Should I change the Springs over to Eibachs or is it something else. The Drop looks like its 1.75" drop, but my feelings towards the springs are that they are not the best quality(Ebay Brand) so do you think if I change over to Eibachs that it would stop banging like that. Thanks
Where is the noise originating? Front? Rear? Is it a clunk (thud?). Is it a metal on metal noise?
Did you do the swap yourself?
If it's coming from the front, a common problem is the top shock nut not tightened down enough. It leaves a gap between the hat and the top of the shock, and everytime you hit a bump, it makes a loud clunk in the front end, sounds like a wheel is going to fall off.
If it's coming from the rear, it could be like these guys said, bottoming out on the bump stops. Do a search on here for 'clunk' 'bang' 'thud' etc and you'll see a lot of threads about noises after lowering your car.
