Default bad tie rod ends???

how do i know if my tie rod ends are bad? the car will sway from side to side without me moving the wheel and also just now i made a turn and the steering began to make a squeeking noise when i turn the wheel. it is a constant noise when the wheel is turned and sounds almost like something streaching or something running low on oil or lubricant making a noise. any suggestions??

You want to turn the wheel by hand with no weight on it with the steering wheel chocked. If there is movement after you do that then you have a loose joint possible tie rod.

jack the car up...have someone move the steering wheel back and forth. Listen for clunking or just looseness in the tierods

I just found one last night. There was creaking in the steering. Grabbed each side while the car's on the ground and pull it down. If it moves and clunks, it's loose, and therefore bad.
