Brake Squeeling?
I just went through a squealing ordeal with mine and found out that O'Reilly gave me the crappy pads instead of the good ones.
You need to have ceramic pads on the rear. They gave me organic and those things did nothing but squeal.
Here are some points:
* Ceramic pads should be quiet.
* Carbon-metallic pads tend to squeel
* Race pads will squeel
Here are some questions:
* Did the pads come with anit-squeel shims (either attached or separate)?
* Did you use anti-squeel grease?
* Did you check the sliding pins to make sure that they move freely?
* How long ago did you change the pads? If you changed the pads a while ago and the noise is new, check the wear indicators. Its possible that there is uneven pad wear (usually from frozen sliding pins) and the wear indicator is rubbing.
Notes:
* Common question, I did a search and found plenty of threads:
