Default spacing down tranny brace

i just got done installing the energy suspension ES1108G tranny mount and i had to space down my cross brace a good half inch to install the new tranny mount with the base plate. from what i have read using the search function no one else has had to do this??
im going to check the pinion angles tomorrow. if they are right, im going to ride it out and see if the vibration gets any better
thanks,
justin

Did you remove the flat plate that came with the ES bushing? I believe that alone was 1/4" thick.

the directions and the web page tell you specifically to install the base plate. i did read here where people left it off. i still think i will have to space down the tranny brace, even after removing the plate.
so much for a direct bolt in????
any more help would be appreciated. only i can turn a 10 minute job into a 1.5 hour job. had to go buy four long tranny mount bolts and lots of washers.

well guys i think that i have figured it out. all i had is was jack up the transmission to make the tranny brace fit flush with the floor pans.
yup well the car will be back on the ramps tomorrow afternoon.
