Default Cutting Springs

I have prokits on my SS and the rear sits too low especially with my new 11's. I bought a ride height adjusters from ground control. I just bought the adjusters and not the springs. When used with the prokits, the ride height is a bit too high on the lowest setting and I'm noticing a bit of body roll which I didn't have prior with my current set-up. I had the top coil cut off of the springs which should put me at the perfect height that I'm looking for. Questions is, I know by removing a coil the springs will effectivly be stiffer but how much do you guys think that will affect ride quality? They are progerssive springs and the top coil is mostly always compressed anyway so I didn't think it would be a big deal. I am using 3rd gen bilsteins with them.

I'm no expert, but on the Mustang I used to have, I cut a coil and it rode like a wagon. I eventually learned to put up with it, but other people had a hard time riding in my car for very long. However, there was virtually zero body roll because the springs effectively are in a stiffer part initialy and the rate was extremely high. Everybody expects something different out of their cars, so its up to you. I wouldn't do it again, but thats me. You could always get sportlines or coilovers and a better swaybar...

Thanks, I have hotchkis swaybars already. I'm going to install them tonight and see. I am looking for less body roll, so this may be a good thing... Remeber, I am not cutting a linear spring, it's a progressive spring and the single coil i am cutting off really has not function other that adding a bit to the stored energy, even then it wasn't much since the coil was already a very very small distance from the second coil and once loaded rested on it all the time....

Do not do that with variable rate springs. Do that with linear rate springs only, and only if you really know what you are doing.
