Default Bilstein choice for stock springs

For stock springs I think my main choices are the regular Bilstein HDs or the SLP Bilsteins that are valved somewhat differently. What do you guys recommend? My stock springs I intend to lower a small amount as well.

I recommend the SLP Bilsteins. As you said, they are valved a bit differently. The SLPs have more rebound damping and a smidge less bump.

I found a link somewhere that actually listed the valving and you are right about the settings. These are the shocks that came on an SLP optioned SS then (not the standard SS but the extra optioned ones)?

Yes, you are correct I believe, The SLP Bilstiens came as a option on the SS and Firehawk. I had a set on my car but I was running Eibach LT1 Pro Kit springs. They really didn't have enough rebound for those springs but should work great with stock or light rated aftermarket springs {400-450lbs maybe?}.

Like I said, should work great with your stock 300lb springs.
