Abs Inop
Ok, I just posted not too long ago about this problem. It's getting worse, and seems only to be happening when i make semi-hard turns at speeds that have never been above 20mph. My pedal starts doing the crazy-*** shake thing, the ABS INOP light comes on and wont turn off until i restart the car, and it turns of my ASR and won't let me turn it back on until i restart the car. I've searched all the other ABS INOP posts and nobody has had a problem like this. Now if i take it to the ripoff chevy dealerships, they will charge me 80bux just to scan my codes, and if I can't get the light to come back on at the time, then chances are they won't find anything. So what the hell am I supposed to do? Thanks for the help.

dude its probably just a wheel speed sensor.. gone or going bad. I had the same problem. Your goin to have pay someone with equip. to find the bad sensor. Replace it and your good to go. If I had to guess, for some reason the rear sensors go out more often than the front. But dont vouch for me on that..

Ok first thing first, did you check your rear wheel ABS/ASR sensors?
If you haven't cleaned or air blasted them off with compressed air when you serviced the rear brakes the last time, that most likey be the problem.
The brake dust sticks to it like a magent with metal shavings.
So make it an habit of cleaning or blast it off with compressed air every time you change the rear pads or rotors.
I had this problem and it didn't occur after I did this.

Ok took it to the shop, and they scanned my comp for what the problem was when the lights were on, but nothing came up. we checked everything, and we even set the scanner to wheel speed sensor, and all 4 wheel speed sensors were fine. The problem seems to come up as soon as ABS tries to kick in. As soon as it tries to kick in ABS INOP comes up and it kicks off my Traction Control and Won't let me turn it back on.
