Default Miss cut K-member?

Has anyone ever had a BMR K-member that wasn't cut correctly? I had to add 1/2" to my steering knuckle to get it to fit and now I can't get the proper alignment. From the center of the stock k-member to the center of the front/lower a-arm bolt is 14-5/8" both left and right. On the BMR, the bolts max out at 14-3/8" from center. It just makes me wonder if this thing was cut wrong somehow. The a-arms are stock and theoretically should need to go back to the 14-5/8 setting. Any idea's?

Usually these k-members get welded up on a jig, if they don't fit in the jig then it isn't right. Hard to say really.
