knocking noise after SFC install

knocking noise after SFC install

I installed my bolt on SFC's this weekend. Not too bad to do and gained noticable response. Now it seems like when I go over a large bump in the road, there is a knocking noise coming from the drivers side control arm. It only happens over large bumps. Could I have overtightened the control arm bolts or is there something esle Im not seeing? Anyone else have this problem? The suspension was loaded and level during the install. Thanks in advance.

I wold double check your work on the SFC's and also check out the control arm bolts/bushings.

check the bolts, i had the same problem!!!! but easy fix!!

Did you need to loosen them or tighten them? I took a look and they seem like they were tight. was the noise coming from the control arm? Anyone know the torque specs for SLP bolt on SFC's?

yeah i had to tighten them because they were loose!!!! not sure what specs!!!!

tighten the control arm bolts.

Thanks for the help! I tightened them as well as I could by hand with the tools I could fit in there and I didnt hear anything on my way to work this morning so hopefully problem solved. Thanks again
