Lowering springs....
Here in the next month I plan on getting either Hotchkis or BMR lowering springs, but do I need to get shocks now or can I wait......my car rides nice now and has 60,000 miles on it. Just don't know if I can afford shocks with the springs...

if you dont get new shocks your ride quality will suffer. also you have to take the shocks out anyways to put the springs in so might as well do it right the 1st time. also you can get kyb agx adjustable springs for pretty cheap from a few of the sponsers.

I used eibach pro-kit on mine, I got mine installed almost 2 months ago and im riding on stock shocks. Ride quality is still nice and it handles a lot better than stock springs.

I am in your same situation. I can do the drop (hotchkis) but have to wait on shocks. So, before I put the springs, I am at least going to get the front shocks, as there the most time consuming ones to put on. I am going with Koni SA's BTW.

When I got my BMR springs, I went ahead and put in new shocks/struts at 65,000. Not sure if it was necessary, but now I don't have to worry about taking my front strut assembly back out anytime soon.

I've the BMR with stock shocks and I'm happy with it. If anything I wouldn't mind having some QA1's in the front and keep the stock shocks in back. But I'm happy now with it. I have got bigger and better plans with the car.

I think you will need shocks. I had 50k on mine and I'm glad I swaped the shocks out at the sametime. I don't think I would have liked the ride at all. Some say that you can get away with stock shocks and the ride will be good but you won't know how much better it could be with new shocks until you use them. ITs one of those things where you don't know how bad it is till its done right.
I kept stock shocks on my truck when I lowered it and I thought the ride was great but once I replaced the shocks with some drop shocks I realized that the ride wasn't as good as I thought. The ride with the right shocks was a 100 times better.

Thanks for all the inputs, so can you put in front shocks and leave the stock backs?? That won't hurt anything, because I know the fronts are bitches and I would hate to have to take them out again...
