Default proper way to set up e-brake?

I need my ebrake to be most effective as I will be trying an ebrake launch with my 2 step at a higher rpm than the normal brakes can handle at this time. Do you just keep turning the adjuster out until it is barely off the inside off the rotor? Are they not self adjusting?

they are not self adjusting
turn out the adjuster untill the rotor is hard to slide on and off and you can still turn it but feel it rubbing a lil bit then when you pull on the ebrake it should hold very tight
