Question Can Subframes be rewelded?

I've got a guy on ls1.com that has some used BMR subframe connectors that are currently on his car that he is trying to sell me. Can they be reused or is this a bad idea?

I've heard if they are just sanded down where they are welded they can be reused is this true?

Any knowledgable opinions on this matter would be much appreciated, thanks

yeah, if the guy doing the grinding is skilled it'll be ok i guess... but... why not buy new? they're not majorly expensive parts... I think it would be far better to get some new ones

I agree, they don't cost that much and I think it would be worth avoiding the risk to just buy new.
If you were going to go used I'd suggest seeing them before you pay.
Some people can probably remove them so cleanly you wouldn't be able to tell they were welded on. Some people.... can't.

Oh, just a sided note. I hope this isnt a new trend... i dont think subframe connectors should ever be ground off... the sheet metal on these cars is like butter... i would be majorly ticked if i wound up with an f-bod that had subframe connectors ground off..

If its done properly, they shouldnt even grind on the subframe much at all. They are trying to take the weld out, not the subframe.
