Default Steel Braided Brake Lines

Was looking to do the swap and came accross two different kits. One has 4 lines and one has 6 lines! I know where 4 go, but where do the other two go and is it worth an extra $45 to get those two. I do autocross once every other month and am going up to North Carolina to drive through the mountains pretty aggressively in a few weeks.

Let me know and thanks!

The other two replace the rubber lines connecting the hard lines under the body to the hard lines on the rear axle. I'd do em all if you're serious.

So, there are two at the back from the body to the rear end?

I will do them all then.

Heard from a friend that some websites state that cars with TCS dont use the other two lines? Anyone know about that? I ordered the six line kit and will do them all unless that is wrong!

Thanks

You need either the 5 line kit or the 6 line kit. There is no 4 line kit.
If you have TCS, you have 6 lines, if not, then you have 5 lines.
Each caliper has a flex line and the non-TCS cars have a single line from the body to rear axle.
TCS cars have 2 lines from the body to rear axle. Make sense?

Got the four installed before my trip to NC. Took forever because the front ones would not come loose! Had to replace the entire line from the master cylinder to the caliper! What a mission! Then after all that work and bleeding the system for the entire new lines, I found the two from the body to the rear but did not have the time or energy to do them. That will be for another weekend.

BTW, the brakes feel amazing with new rotors and pads and the steel brake lines. Also bleed the system like crazy! Must have gone trough 3 bottles of fluid to make sure! Pedle is the best I have ever felt. Great response and is smooooth! Will do the other two brake lines in a week or two!
