Default New Shocks?

I put the 11" ZR1's on my car and every time I go over a bump my finder cut into the right tire. Its hapening more often so I was going to get a new set of rear shocks. Its my daily driver so I want good handling but I want something good for the track too. What kind of shocks do yall recomend.

Have you centered the rear end with an adjustable panhard bar?

Probably so. I know my rear was pushed farther to one side than the other and caused havoc with the 17x11's. The APB allows you to center the rear end underneath the car.

I was having the same problem for a while, but I already had an adj panhard bar and Bilstein shocks. I rolled the fender lip and it solved the problem.

The low speed damping on the stock shocks are kind of soft. So if you go through a dip or something, the rear will compress more then necessary. Better shocks will help to control the rear better which reduces the chances of the suspension from overly compressing.

So better shocks will help.

Centering the rear axle will reduce tire rub on the inside on the fender wells.

It is also a good idea to roll the inner fender lips. You don't need much, try bending the lips at a 45* angle from about the 10 to 2 o'clock position. It may still rub at times, but it is no big deal. Rubbing occasionally is OK, cutting into the tire is not.
