Default LCA bushings

I've done a lot of searches and reading about bushing choices for LCA, I was origionally going to go with a Poly/Rod setup but I think that would be overkill for my needs. I really don't want to go with Poly/Poly because of the suspension binding I've read about. I noticed BMR sells a Rubber/Poly set up, does anyone run these? How much would handling be hurt over a Poly/Poly?

I don't Auto-X and only see the drag strip maybe once a month. Mostly just around town duty with some "energetic" cornering thrown in every once in a while. I'm looking for improved handling without too much increased noise and the rougher ride of rod ends.

I've almost decided on Hotchkis springs with either Koni or Strano revalves, but I'm going to call Sam when I get back to the states before I make that decision.

Thanks, Chris

I've got all rod-ends. Noisy, but the best "bushing" available.

Have to go based on what LCAs you have. Most of the
aftermarkets look (to me) like they have different sized
bushings from stock. I have boxed stock LCAs with the
1LE bushings (which are solid vs the stock "waffle" rubber)
and these are firm without being harsh or noisy. But these
probably will not fit a lot of the aftermarket arms.

I'm buying a new set of LCA, not sure if I really need to go with Poly/Poly for around town driving.

I've got the poly/rubber and they are noisey squeaking
and banging.I thought I could beat the noise by going poly
and rubber. If you want to stay quiet stick with the stocker
or have it boxed

I also boxed the factory LCA's and put poly bushing in and have had no problem with noise (yet)

Aftermarket LCAs should come with the bushing already in it!

all of my rear suspension (torque arm, LCA's, PHB) are BMR pieces with poly bushings... I torqued everything to spec and grease gunned em with Mobil-1 Synthetic chassis grease. No noise, no bind (that i can tell) and a much harder cornering and launching car!

Hey 02ss just saw your addy as being in Dodge. Stay away from the queens *ss you know the donkeys..... Actually I was stationed there in 1985 and so was the girl who has now been my wife for almost 20 years...... boy does cannon point bring back some memories. She was a Pn at the PSD there and I was an ET on NAF. I got my skippers license there and did alot of sailing. Also got drunk in the seamans club on many occasions. Do you still get guaranteed follow on orders when you leave there? I went to Guam after Dodge. I thought it was great duty but I had a girl friend where the other 4500 guys did not.....Good luck with the car when you get back to the world.

Did you know you can make some rod/rubber bushings? I've heard really good things about them. The rod end prevents the rotational binding while the rubber end reduces the vibrations. Check it out, it's what I plan to go with.
