SQUEELING Brakes

SQUEELING Brakes
i have hawk hps pads on brembo blanks, and the brakes are squeling like a pig that is dropped in boiling water (hopefully that gives you a good idea lol). I'm in Orange County California and I drive through Laguna Beach and Newport Beach everyday, and I feel like a loser with my brakes squeeling so loud haha. What can I do to make them stop??

theres a goo you can get to put on the brake pads to make them stop squeeking. it goes between the caliper and the pad, not the pad and the rotor lol. you can get it at any automotive store. hope that helps

The liitle stainless steel clips that wrap around the brake pads vibrate. Clean them up and glue them into place with some of the brake pad anti-squeel, where the clips fit into the calipers.
It doesn't take very much of the anti-squeel to fix the problem. The anti-squeel is flexible and acrylic, and won't migrate anywhere but don't slop it around is what I mean.

Did you follow the break-in procedure for the HPS pads?
That will improve their performance and may quiet them down.
So I dont have to type it all again...here is a post I made in another thread:

BTW, I am also running Brembo OEM blanks and Hawk HPS pads. The are quiet. The did get a bit noisy a couple months ago at the end of winter (they have been on the car since October 2004), but they have quieted since.
