Oh that front bolt is such a bitch! on my car the bolt went in from the front, and the nut on the back. when I put it back on, I put it on the other way around. so now my car looks like the one on UMI's site:

Anyway, once I popped the spindle off using a pitman arm or tierod removal tool (from autozone/harbor freight), I was able to move the tierod enough to get the bolt off.

breaker bar to get things started and then the bolt should come out. It is it jammed then you may need to raise or lower the rear end to get it to unbind if that was the issue.

I guess it sounds like you are asking preventatively and my guess is you will have no issue getting the bolt out. It may be easier to take the wheel off however.

oh, and prepare to leave those bushings soaked in oil or WD40 over night. my old ones were a major PITA to take out. I called my local Goodyear to ask how much they would charge to do the job (since I have a lifetime alignment warranty with them) and they told me that they dont do that, which surprised me. so I removed the A Arms and after farting with them for a while, I took them to the local pep boys who siad they could do it in 30 minutes. They ended up needing to soak them over night and the next day I get a bill for $120 , almost half the price of a new set of tubulars

I could have bought my own 12 ton press at harbor freight for that price.

Good luck!

Yeah, I was so pissed at that engineer when I was pulling that off

IIRC, I was able to swing the tie rod in such a way that you could press up on the rubber boot to get that bolt out.

exactly how I did it. with both tie rod ends disconnected from the knuckles, just push the tie rod of the side you're working on, in. Then angle it up. the bolt will slide out under the boot.
