That's like asking what are the best racing tires ... Mickey Thompsom drag slicks or RS03 Road race tires. The answer is one is best for one thing, and the other is best for the other

Hal's are drag racing shocks and don't do well on a road course
Koni's are road racing shocks and don't do well on a drag strip

What are you more interested in ? I've got Koni D/A's on my WS6 and love the **** out of them

well that's why I asked. I will be doing more street driving than drag racing.
But these will be better at the strip than the stock right??
that's all i need to know

if your not trying to go to one extreme or the other. be it drag racing or road racing then i would not spend that type of coin on shocks. the Koni SAs are a pain to adjust as well. if you just want a better shock that will not kill the ride but also help it handle better i would suggest Bilstien HDs. use third gen shocks for the rear. also get a bigger front sway bar if you care to make it handle better in the turns

well they are because they are adjustable. but they cost a lot more and are not easy to adjust. the SAs anyway. the DAs arent bad i dont think, but thats a very expensive shock. so do you really think youll need that great of a shock on the car based on what your going to use the car for?

as for sway bars the SS, WS6, and Firehawk cars all came with bigger front bars. they can make a difference and not cost a lot at all if you buy used. if you go aftermarket i would get a 35mm front bar. at this time i would not change the rear bar.

These ? Which ones are you referring to ? The Koni's wouldn't be any better at the strip than stock I don't think. They ARE adjustable, but they're range of adjustment is road race oriented so they won't allow weight transfer like is needed in drag racing.Obviously the Hals would be better than stock at the strip since that's what they're made for.

I guess the question is do you want road race oriented handling or great launches at the drag strip ? Once you answer that question you'll have your answer.

BTW I bought my Koni's from Sam Strano. I forget exactly how much I paid, but I think it was about $650-$700 for the fronts. Not sure how much the rears are. Call Sam at Stranoparts.com and ask him, he's great to deal with
