Default Removed Traction Control... Now Problems

I pulled out my traction control box and bought a throttle cable that was used on the the non-TC LT1's... So I can at least drive the thing. One problem is, I have no idea how to hook up my cruise cable to the the throttle body, do i need a different cable? Also. now my ABS INOP light is on. How can I get my ABS working again?

I have not seen anyone retain ABS when removing TCS on a 96-97 car. I pulled the TCS on my 95 and haven't had any problems. I followed this link when doing so: http://www.pharmacy.arizona.edu/staf.../NoABSTCS.html

hmmm on my 2002 TA, when I go to the track, I just unplug it, because I forget so often to turn it off. Did you remove yours to get rid of weight and clutter? or just because it's annoying?

I got rid of it becuase I rerouted my plug wires above my valvecovers... and the box got in the way. Also, I'm trying to clean up my engine bay.

PipesTA, thanks for the info, but it looks like that is way different then my setup was. Too bad, cause that's some good info.

There's a lot of info over on camaroz28.com for 96-97 TCS removal, but nobody has retained ABS when pulled off from what I found.

I'm pretty sure the problem is in the ECU.... maybe you can have it deleted (TC) and that will clear things up but i'd check that first.. if you have the software i'd try there.

Reflashing the pcm for a model without t/c should cure your trouble. I think you can change out the abs module under the dash to one for a non t/c car and the abs will become functional again. I do not think the connectors are different between the two modules.
