Default Sway bar hitting dampner?!?!

Im finishing up my gen 1 sbc swap in my 94 ex-3.4L car. But now that the motor is in and sway bar is on, there is about 1/16th of an inch between the bar and the dampner. Is the v6 sway bar or sway bar brackets different from the v8's? I also switched to shorter endlinks to rotate the bar around a little but that still didnt work. Any ideas???

It's possible you have the bar on upside down.

Does the center section of the bar look like this

-------\_______/-------

or this

______/--------\______

Well it is in the right way. But it appears that the dampner on a gen 1 sbc sits about 2inches closer to the block compared to an lt1. It is also a little larger in diameter. Therefore it sits right where the sway bar goes. And with a bmr k member and the car being lowered it all just kind of put the bar way too close. I will have to cut a piece of flat metal 3/8-1/2" plate and mount that between the bracket and the sway bar. Thanks for the quick reply though mitchntx.
