You would just need to do some extensive testing to make sure it didn't fail. If you don't care about your safety, give it a shot, but you'll be a guinea pig.

Yeah, but if you think about it... it will pull up on trans tail shaft, only as much as the trans mount will let it... so it'll break the trans mount way before it'll break the tailshaft... i'd rather replace the mount than the tailshaft

It looks to me like the horizontal part that is
sandwiched, has no reinforcement to keep it
from flexing. Too cantilevered and thin, the
end of the TA will deflect under load.

I have a Yank relocating crossmember and the
mount is straight vertical, in the plane of the
TA arc and the crossmember bucks the load
with a stiff cross section.

I guess i should have put in the "why" behind this. Basically i'm am completely dissatisfied with every torque arm option out there. The only thing that is smooth and quiet enough to satisfy me is a tailshaft mounted torque arm. BUT i don't want it to break. I'd rather break this bracket or a trans mount than the tailshaft housing. Not that i'm running enough power or traction to worry about breaking anything, more of a peace of mind thing "if by some chance i should happen to hook and gain 200 ft lbs of torque... at least i wont break the tailshaft." BTW... i've posted a few of these little imaginitive sketches of mine, none of them make it to reality, i think of them as mental exercises. Thanks for everyone's input!

Hi does the Yank crossmember raise the front mount up higher. I need to create some clearance over my Y pipe so I can fit a Spohn torque arm. Raising the front poly bushing up an inch should give me enough clearance.

Thanks JA.

I don't think that this would be a great idea, just used the tried and tested relocaters.
