Default Steering Sound

Hi guys.

I got some weird sounds in my 98's steering...(who doesnt?)

it happens when the steering wheel is turned all the way left or right and i'm turning. It sounds like my tires are flat (they're not). Is this the sound of the tires rubbing on the fender? I don't know what it could be. My car is lowered and I have 275/40/17 tires in the front.

is it when you're pushing on the lock?

I don't know...but it's anytime I make a tight turn, such as at a parking lot or coming out of the driveway. The steering wheel doesn't have to be all the way to one side, the sound is there as long as the wheels are turned a little more than normal.

Well, have you checked the fluid level? If that's ok, check the fender wells for signs of rubbing... and if still nothing, look at your rack at the ends to see if there is any sign of leakage at the lip seals.
