welding in subframe connectors.

hey guys when welding in subframes i know that the weight must still be applied the wheels, however i am a little unsure about a couple of things.

If i do it in my garage will i be able to weld them in with the front of the car jacked up and then placed on jackstands under the a-arms? or will i have to have the rear of the car also jacked up and place jack stands on the axle tubes?

You could put the front on ramps and stands under the rear axle. Just make sure the car is level.

ok that is the other thing that i thought.

what ramps are good to use? do you guys drive up on them or jack the car up and let it down on them.

I got two at Walmart for 29.00$ I alway jack the car up and set it on ramps. I am always think I am going to drive over them

Ramps, plus a high lift jack and plenty of 2x8's cut in pieces to get that bit of extra room so you don't bang your head or shiney new Miller stars and stripes helmet

thanks guys. i am going to give it a shot later this week, my subframes arrive tomorrow, and i am going to buy a new welder tomorrow so i should be good to go.
