fbody independant rear
ive been toying with the idea of possably fabricating and converting a c5's independant rear suspension and get it to work on an fbody, though, i dont know much about them yet only started reading, im not looking for impssables, given enough money time, and thinking anything is, so can i get some guesses of what all i woudl be looking into?

Why not go the same direction as Ford did and come up with a independent rear like the old Mustang Cobras? Fabricate a modular setup that attaches to the stock f-body suspension hard points and create a tubular subframe out of aluminum. I'll bet you can be creative and use something similar to a CTS setup (maybe use the control arms from that?) or similar that doesn't limit you to the leaf spring on the Vette.

there was a company that built one into the back of a 3rd gen using the c4 IRS. It was decent enough, i mean it worked, but it looked like a hack job, I wasn't impressed. Oh and it cost like 5 grand. But with the cts out, maybe it will be easier/ less involved to it done. You will still have to decide whether or not you want to hack into the body for mounting points, I just don't see how you can get around that.
Good luck, and sorry i don't have a link.
