Is it my Torque Arm?
Is it my Torque Arm? Last week I had a new Z06 clutch installed and when I got it back the trans mount was in worse shape than I left it. No big deal, I replaced it with a ES poly mount and all was well for a few days.
On my way home from work today I heard a loud POP from under my car, wasn't driving it hard or anything I just thought it was a rock. Well a few minutes later when I downshifted to get off my exit I heard it again and it's been doing it ever since. It sounds like it's coming from around the transmission.
I think it might be the torque arm because the popping happens whenever there's a change in momentum, I don't even have to shift. Now there's also a rubbing noise coming from the trans tunnel. Any ideas?
Could it be that the shop that put in my clutch didn't put everything back correctly?
