Default New rotors and pads...

I just bought new rotors and pads from autozone. It has been around a week and i already have a groove in one rotor. I got the warranty on them so it should be covered but my question is, can I have done something wrong with the break in process to have it get a groove so soon or are they defective?

Sounds like the pad might be defective. Pull the pads that are grooving that rotor, and check for any debris, or bumps on the pad's surface.
