it is or just leave the stock ones in. Most go to a hal/qa1 set up and a 275 front spring. Problem with a 275 front spring is that its on the weak side if the car is driven on the street, you will bottom out cause the front end is too heavy. Now if you have headers, moved the battery, lite weight breaks,no swaybar etc than 275's wont be so bad... What brand are you looking at...

So could i just use the back springs or what? i found some other springs at spohn performance but i was wondering if they would be a simular ride height. What im getting to is i want a good set of drag springs that ride low but transfer weight the best. yes im doing spring but not tell later.

I have qa1 coilovers and 300 frt springs. They work great. the ride hight is adjustable with a wrench. I set them very loose on the track and stiff on the road. I have no frt sway bar on it and you can not tell with the shocks set stiff.
They are so loose on the track that it bottoms out in the frt when I pull up after a burn out and get on the breaks, very loose= the weight just goes back on the launch.

thats exactly what i have qa1r's with 300lb in front and gen f's in the rear. Really good weight transfer and totally streetable set up. Y2kforgedss if you cant afford the whole deal get the fronts first, the do the most in transfering weight. I dont think you will pay 1,019 for the set up. I paid 400-440 ish(cant remember) for the front shocks and springs and 300 for the rear shocks.. You dont need the double adjustables or the coil overs for the rear.

oh i might add that i got the shocks to cut down my crappy 60' times. I haven had the chance to go to the track with them yet to see what improvement i have made with them but judging from street launches i bet i could now cut a 1.7ish 60' as the weight just slams to the rear and i hardly spin now..

i talked to madman yesterday about my car and my set up
my car is basicaly a stock wieght car and it will stay that way
onlythings removed are the front sway bar and the ac right now but it will go back inn next summer. my car is a 6 speed car and he recomended QA1 "R" for the front and the Fs for the back. the spring he told me to run up front was the325 spring. the reason is that a 6 speed car benifits from more stored energy you get form the 325s but an full wieght auto car should get the 300s because they dont need as much help and the car will be more stable launching

now if youn have all the front wieght reduction done ie battery, swaybar, kmember... use the 275s

the 325 will also keep me from bottemin the shock out which is bad and make them explode over time

i think im going to be very happy when they get there on wensday
