Default Found a solution to the saggin rear!

Dont know if this has been posted or not, if it has then mods please feel free to delete. I was sick & tired of my tires scruubing on the pass side inner fender well due to the notrious LS1 pass side sag. So I started looking for sloutions and after a couple of hours I noticed it you put a spacer between where the rear swaybar mounts to the body of the car on the pass side that it would lift that side about an 1/2 in. Thats was about how much lower my pass side sat compared to the drivers side. Now I have no more saggin or scrubbing & the car sits the same height on the pass side as it does on the drivers side. I have the rubber bushings all the way around my car so I used one of my stock plastic ones as a spacer in case anyone was wondering. Im sure anything else would work as a spacer. Just thought Id share what I found because I know how irratating it is for the pass side to sit lower then the drivers side.

All you really did was load the suspension. There have been serveral that have done exactly what you did and have been happy with the outcome. I put a spacer in the spring to fix it and its worked out great.

I can get some pics this weekend or possibly tonight. But to try to clairify things, on the rear of the car you have a swaybay right? well the sway bar mounts in 4 differeent places. Its attached to both pass side & the drivers side bottom of the rear end. Now it also attaches under the car kinda in the fender well. If you pull the rear tires you can see where it mounts to. There is a bolt that runs through it about 7in long with yellow plastic bushings on it. Now here is what I did, On the passenger side take the nut off the top of the end link. There is no need to pull it all the way out just unbolt it pull the bolt down below the point that it attaches to the car. Now this is where you need to insert some sort of spacer. (between where the swaybar mounts to the car) I simply used an old stock yellow plastic bushing. I slid it on the bolt, with the other bushings still on there, then just stick the bolt back in the hole & put the nut back on it. That is pretty much all I did. Ive done this now on 2 cars with eibach springs that both sagged & got the same results with both. Maybe this will help until I can get some pics.

when I sit in the car it doesn't go down enough to sag. I guess if I weighed enough it could.

alright well today i went to advanced and got all new bushings and bolts/nuts for the job. i just replaced the old oem stuff with the lil swaybar bushing kit from advaced and it worked/evened out my car. total it was only like $12.40 for both rear bolts and bushings. i got the teflon coated ones. thanks for the heads up Z'mnypit. i'd say it only took me like 30 mins but i had a lift. shouldnt take anymore time with just a jack. i was bullshittin with some of my buddies in the hobby shop.
