Two Q's, 1 pic and your help
I am installing my UMI STB, I have two quick q's though. The picture below has two black boxes surrounding four bolts(2 on dr's side and pass.) Do I just take the bolts off, what are they holding on and will whatever is being held on fall off? The last question is the wires in the red circle, do they go on the inside of the STB or should I push them over to the outside of the STB? Here's the pic:
Thanks for the help

The bolts you have highlighted are for the upper strut mounts (basiially the front shocks). Each side is held on by 4 bolts (actually 2 nuts and 2 bolts) so if you take the 2 nuts off to install your STB the other 2 bolts will hold the strut in place during installation. As far as the wires, not really sure, but I would say pust them to the side of the STB as long as there is enough "slack" to get them out there without putting any stress on the wires.

the wires are for Cruise Control IIRC, but either way, just make sure they aren't binding, and you're fine. As the other guy said, just undo the bolts, nothing is gonna fall out, if you look directly behind them, there's actually 2 more star bolts that hold on the struts. Nothing to worry about.

Hello,
Yes just as stated above, the (4) nuts are fine to remove and no items will fall out of place. If you follow the supplied installation sheet you will be fine. Also you can use the picture below for reference on the wires, just gently move them out of the way.

Hope that helps,
