Default Bleeding brakes with Traction Control

Its pulling a little to the right when i brake, so i wanted to take the caliper off and clean it and bleed the front brake. the haynes manual is saying i needs some tech scanner if i have traction control, is this really necessary??

Comon, no1 has ever bled there brakes with traction control??? I bet i could probably just do it and not worry about it....
