f-body track handling
how good can you get an fbody to handle on the track , can you get it to handle really well or does the straight axle hold it back too much

I have a 97 SS Camaro and have done several mods to the car for better handling and braking. They include subframe connecters, strut tower brace, lowering springs, Bilstein shocks and Hoosier tires. I have no problems keeping up with C-5 Corvettes. The Z06's do get the better of me but when you consider the price difference I think the car comes out pretty good. If you do get serious about handling you do need to consider a better oil pan (Canton). You produce such a high G force that you starve the engine of oil. I learned the hard way. That problem as now been fixed. Just my $.02 worth.

Its a lot you can do to these cars to increase the grip. Running 17x11's on all 4's, big sways bars, stiff springs, relocated panhard bar, agressive alignments, and im sure im leaving some stuff out.
