Just exactly what RevGTO stated... and I've said it before too.
HD are very good for those looking for an all around good shock that rides better, handles better and gives better stability *IF* two criteria are met. Stock springs, and you aren't looking for the ultimate in damping/handling, but much improved. If you are more demanding than not, the HD's aren't really "right". If you don't have stock springs (as in Z28, even 1LE's are a touch borderline) then HD's IMHO are out.

Your car, being a 2002 would have regular springs/shocks (orange shocks). Unless it's got a level 1 setup (look for yellow shocks as a start).
Only 99 and older cars (if I remember right) had the stiffer 1LE springs.
If you have orange shocks, HD's are in (as in a not wrong choice, "right" is something that varies from person to person).
