At least thats what the general synopsis of them was in the other forum.

I'll try to get the link so you have more info other than just me.
They are driveway jewelry, that's true. For most street cars, they'll be fine, but for track use, stick to something proven.

Yeah, they were definatly tempting at the price GM was selling them for. I decided to just keep saving and get some 6 piston calipers that REALLY work, instead of paying for some cheep ones that are just "driveway jewelry".

Got a question for you guys. I assume the Z51 brake package use the same caliper as regular C5/C6. So did the UIM or LG or Trackbracket adaptor be able to mount the 13.4" rotor with C5/C6 caliper?

The bolt holes in the LG kit are too small and I don't know if there is room to drill them out (I've never had a set of them in my hand) for the Corvette parts (that kit uses the F-body parts, and the bolts are smaller so the holes are smaller). I'm not saying if it's good or bad, just noting that it's different.

The conventional C5 adapter brackets will allow you to do the conversion.

Meaning I can use Z51 rotor with this? How about C6 Z06 14" rotor?

You can use the Z51 rotor with the Z51 PAB and Z51 caliper (and hoses) and these brackets. You can use the C6 Z06 rotor with the C6 Z06 caliper and hoses. You can not mix and match. If you want to run the 14" rotor, you'll need C6 Z06 calipers, if you want to run the 13.6" rotor, you'll need the C6 Z51 PAB, caliper and hoses.

Please pardon me if I'm misunderstanding. I was thinking the caliper from C5 Z06, Regular C6 and C6 Z51 were the same, aren't they? If they're different, can anyone post the part number for C6 Z51 stuff (caliper, PAB, host and pad)? I can only find Z51 rotor on eBay but not the caliper. And I'll order PAB and host from GMpartsdirect.com. Thanx alot.

As far as I know they are the same, but I was expecting GM to use a slightly smaller piston in the Z51 caliper to avoid shifting the brake bias. Though the change isn't huge and the Corvette has good weight distribution which will make it less of an issue. I've not seen anything to indicate that GM did change the caliper, I believe it is the same as the base cars. The LS1 cars are a bit too rear biased anyway, so a mild shift to the front will probably help those cars. The LT1's don't have such an issue, but again, the shift will be slight and will probably be undetectable.
