Default Bumpstops

are they nessecary? i butchered up the metal pretty bad and i removed the rubber part in order to feel more comfortable about my 315s on the back. just wondering if i should try to modify them to work or just leave them off. my guess is that they arent really nessecary unless you have 300lb women in the back seat of your car and you hit a hard dip..

Just keep the 300lb. women out of the back and you should be okay.

They're just there so if you go over a big bump and the axle hits the body it won't dent the body, but it would have to be a pretty hard hit.

Unfortuantly some people do ride around with 300lb. women in the back of their car, so GM had to add the bump stops.

I don't think a 300lb woman would fit in the back of our cars?

"can I have a ride?" "ummm.. you wouldn't fit" LoL

One *** cheek per "seat" on my 'vert, but anything
over 120 pounds must use alternate route

Bumpstop protects both tires and shocks. Small tire
cars came without the shim so shocks should still be
OK, I guess, with it gone (but not the rubber piece).
