Default Simple rear spring install question

I changed my springs a month ago and now have a weird movement in the rear. It feels like it tries to dogleg and then straighten only become crooked. When I installed my rear springs, I thought I remembered that the end of the bottom coil points to the front but I just read something that also seemed familar that they should point to the driver side. Anybody know for sure? thanks!

I just rotated mine until the top of the spring was closest to the upper spring perch. I made them both the same. What I was trying to do was get the springs to sit naturally in place and be the same on both sides. It does make a difference.
