Default Is there a such thing as a PERFORMANCE Alignment?

I'm getting my car aligned tommorrow so I was just wondering if there were any things that could be done to enhance ride or traction...

An information is appreciated!

remember, the more agressive you go on the alignment, the faster the tires will wear.

if you are looking for a drag race alignment this is what i read in my performance book. load the seat with the correct weight (you could sit in it yourself if they will let you), set your tire pressures and fuel levels. Camber should be at zero, as well as toe. Caster should be between 3 and 6 degrees. Also, make sure the shop you use can adjust the camber and caster. I assume the adjustments will be the same as on my car (95 formula) and they require a SST.

Mine is just a little - on camber(.10) and my caster is 4.2/4.5 and a tad bit of toe in. This is what I would call a mild performance alignment, a step up from stock. The alignment above would probably do very well on a road course but on the street would scuff the tires a bit so keep em rotated like every 3k miles unless you dont have same size rubber front and rear.

I have asked and it seems most shops will only set it to OEM specs since they have to warantee their work for so long. If you say it is for drag only it might differ.

Why do you need to identicle threads on the same page in the same section?

Here is a link to the other thread:

I'm currently running the alignment that I posted in the thread to which I linked for 2 years. I haven't noticed any increase in tire wear. I have one stock tire on the driver's side front that has gone bald on the outside edge (won't pass inspection), but I dont think its related since the tires are 5 years old and a performance alignment would cause increased wear on the inside edge on both tires, not the outside outside on one tire.
