Default Brakes Acting Up After Rain

After I drove home from work around 3:30am, it rained pretty good where I live. And the next morning when I went to the first stopsign the car didn't brake smoothly, it felt like the caliper was just grabbing and releasing the rotor, and the only way for it not to happen is if I smash the brake with my foot. Releasing the brake and then hitting the gas it feels a little shakey.

The car still stops it's just that you can really hear the brakes clamp down outside the car, and it's pretty loud. I'm thinking that maybe there's air in the system(?), or there's oil or something on the pad/rotor?

Could use you guys' help. Thanks.

If the brakes were a little hot you could have warped the rotors if you hit some puddles, etc.

Yeah I brought it into the shop and found out that the front rotors are done, beyond the minimum machining dimension. My teacher said that with the heavy rain, which is relatively cold, hitting the hot rotor, it could warp.

Someone also pointed out how my car's brakes don't have splash shields. I hadn't even noticed that.

Thanks for helping confirm some of my suspicions.
