Default sfc and drag racing

Ok i here a lot of mixed opinions on sfc. The only experiance i have with sub fram connectors is on my buddys car who cuts consistant 1.6 60 ft with sfc being the only suspension mod (of corse its an auto with mt et radials).I want to know what the advantages would be on a car that is not a road race or auto cross car but not a strait drag car either. I am not concerned with handeling i dont even have a front sway bar. Would the only advantage to having them be when you start pulling the fronts off the ground keeping them level insted of one higher than the other?

Since you have a T/A, you have T-tops. Those make the car more flexible. I hear mine creak and twist every time I go up into my driveway. SFC's will keep the body from twisting as much.

its a strength issue...it strengthens the car so it doesnt have torsional stress twist the car...usually if it has some decent power....correct me if im wrong but this is what i have heard about it....as for handling, im not sure about that...doesnt seem like it would help any, but im no expert...just a driver tryin to learn like you

SFC are a must. They are well worth the money. I noticed a big difference in my launch once I installed them. The car planted better and the weight seemed as if it all moved to the back and the front was coming up. Its hard to explain and i've had them on for awhile so i don't really remember what it used to be like but my first launch on the street I was alittle scared cause it felt so different that what i was used to.

There are quite a few extremely knowledgable folk on here with respect to suspension/handling (see Foxxtron, sam strano, et all). Search for some of their threads....good stuff.

Anyways, do SFCs help....yes. BUT...probably not enough to justify for only a slightly modified daily driver. Your money would be better spent on upgrading the shocks/springs....especially if you dont have the upgraded option from the factory (not that the upgraded Bilsteins are anything to write home about, but they do hold there own for a daily driver).

Nonetheless, its your money. SFCs wont hinder your cars performance, but you probably wont see/feel any real gains either.

My TA with mods below allowed the suspension to absorb bumps in the road better. I drove the car lowered and then installed SFC's and I enjoyed the ride better. Much more positive feel in my opinion. How it improved a launch and this and that, I really don't have anything to go off of. I did notice a difference in the feel of the car immediately.
