Default bilstein HD's question.

Hey guys i just recieved my HD's in the mail, i have a question on the front strut, it looks like it is missing the part where the spring sits in, its in the middle of the strut? am i wrong or right? heres a pic of the fron strut.

You re-use the stock components to hold the spring in place. The spring retainer (if that's what it's called) rests on that ring towards the middle of the shock.

ok, how about if i dont have the stock shocks in the front, cause when i put my eibach pro kit i couldnt reusse the stock strut so i bought some POS autozones and it came with the spring retainer, should the spring retainer from the autozone strut come off aswell? or can i buy it if it doesnt come off? if so where? thx krab

I'm pretty sure it should fit, I doubt the diameter of the autozone shocks are different than the stock decarbons. It should come off the autozone shock too (hopefully), just give it a few taps with a hammer and it'll slide off.

You might wanna visit your local FBODY shop and see
if there are any intact stock shocks lying around. They
would probably GIVE them to you.
